The Caregivers Scholarship Program is an exclusive initiative created collaboratively by the Kyoto local government, language schools, professors, eldercare facilities, and hospitals to support young people from Myanmar who wish to study and work in Japan. Unlike standard programs that may require up to five years of post graduation work, this specialized pathway requires only two years of work at a care facility. The scholarship covers one full year of language school tuition and a flight ticket to Japan without requiring repayment. Participants will have the opportunity to study at a prominent language school in Kyoto and receive a full salary during the two year carework period. The program also states that applicants will not have COE (Certificate of Eligibility) approval concerns despite attending a language school, and only an N5 Japanese language proficiency certificate, such as JLPT or NAT Test, is required to apply.
